Bee County Is Not Processing Boat Title Work

As of August 17, 2026, the Bee County Tax Office at 411 E. Houston Street is not processing TPWD boat or outboard-motor transactions. Service can change, so confirm the current status before you travel.

For title or registration work, choose a full TPWD office or a participating county tax office. Call before leaving. County offices differ on hours, residency limits, renewals, and title transfers. An eligible boat or motor registration renewal can also be done online.

When buying a used boat or motor, get the original title signed on the front and back plus a signed bill of sale from the titled owner. If a legal representative signs, get proof of that authority too. A boat trailer follows a different path: TxDMV and county tax offices handle the trailer, while TPWD handles the boat and motor.
