Complete a Collin County Marriage License in Person

A Collin County marriage application can start online, but it cannot finish there. Both people must appear together at the County Clerk office within 10 calendar days, or the application lapses.

The clerk handles licenses in McKinney and Plano. Bring valid government photo ID and Social Security numbers. The name on the license should match the ID exactly, because a nickname or name mismatch can stall the visit.

A recent divorce can add another issue. If either divorce was final within the last 30 days, bring a certified decree showing the waiting period was waived, or wait until the 30 days pass.
