The 300 Block Gives Downtown Eagle Pass an Arts Anchor

The City of Eagle Pass Art and Culture Center opened on January 30, 2020. It gave local artists and makers a home downtown. The program includes classes, live music, and exhibits. Artists can also apply to use the center for a show or performance.

The center belongs to the Main Street Program. It draws people into the 300 Block Art and Entertainment District. Art classes and live shows now sit inside the city's downtown work.

Eagle Pass was in the program's original five-city group in 1980. The city returned as a recertified program in 2010. The center opened four decades after that 1980 effort and put a working arts space inside the old Main Street plan.
