You need a Texas fishing license to fish in Nueces County waters

Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) sells fishing licenses online, by phone, or at about 1,700 stores across the state. You can get a digital license on your phone — no paper copy needed. To fish saltwater in Nueces County, you need a basic license plus a saltwater fishing endorsement. Both can be bought at the same time.
