Rockdale's Fair Park Keeps the County's Show-Grounds Side Visible
Fair Park in Rockdale is a working fairground at 200 Walnut Street. The fenced site has a rodeo arena, a livestock barn, an open lawn, shaded picnic tables, concession stands, powered vendor booths, and covered barbecue pits.
The covered pavilion has 9,300 square feet of space and a 1,300-square-foot stage. Movable bleachers sit around it. The park has hosted concerts, dances, livestock shows, cookoffs, family reunions, car shows, and other events. It also has restrooms, an open field, electric service on the lawn, horseshoe pits, a horse track, and 75 RV spots that can be rented with an event.
Rodeo, livestock shows, cookoffs, picnics, and town events all fit on the same grounds. Regular park hours were dawn to 11 p.m. as of July 11, 2026. The site can also hold ticketed events and private rentals, so access can depend on what is booked that day.
