Your property tax bill comes from up to 16 taxing units
The tax stack here can draw from 16 active taxing units in the Comptroller directory. They include the county, City of Victoria, five school districts, Victoria Junior College District, the navigation district, the groundwater district, Quail Creek MUD, two WCIDs, and two drainage districts.
Your bill is not all 16 at once. It is the stack that touches your parcel. Two homes a mile apart can owe different totals if one sits in a city, MUD, WCID, or drainage district and the other does not.
That little list on the appraisal notice is worth reading. It tells you who is charging tax on that address, and the Comptroller directory gives you the full roster behind the abbreviations.
