County Parks Reach Beyond Central El Paso

El Paso County's parks system grew out of the Ascarate Park project, but it did not stop there. The county now lists dozens of rural parks, the County Sportspark, and pools serving communities like Canutillo and Fabens out in the valley.

That matters in a hot, spread-out county. Not every family lives near a City of El Paso park or wants to drive downtown for a playground or a swim, and county recreation can be the closer public option for a picnic, ball field, pool, or community event.

Use the county Parks and Recreation page to check the exact park, pool, rental, or event site near you. A small rural park won't necessarily keep the same hours or have the same features as Ascarate.
