Coleto Creek Reservoir offers public fishing near Goliad County
Coleto Creek Reservoir is about 3,100 acres and reaches 46 feet deep. It sits about 15 miles west-southwest of Victoria. TPWD lists bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill, and redear sunfish here.
Most visitors start at Coleto Creek Park. GBRA says the park sits midway between Victoria and Goliad. It opened for public recreation in 1981 and has a four-lane boat ramp plus a 200-foot lighted fishing pier.
As checked July 3, 2026, GBRA listed the park fee schedule as effective from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. GBRA says rates can change without notice. TPWD says the reservoir follows statewide fishing rules.
