Brookshire and Prairie View Put Play Space Close to Home

Brookshire's park map is small but specific. Hovas Park sits at 1412 FM 359 South, Bostick Park at 4123 1st Street, and Longenbaugh Park at 706 Fratt Road. Longenbaugh has exercise and playground equipment.

Hovas adds the water stop. In June 2026, Brookshire announced that its splash pad had opened for the season, with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Because splash-pad seasons change, the city notices page is the place to check before making promises to the kids.

Prairie View's visitor page also names Tapscott Public Park and a water park. It does not post an address, hours, or a current operating notice for the water feature. That difference matters: Brookshire gives you three street addresses, while Prairie View gives you a place name that needs one more check before the car leaves.
