Arbor Hills Gives West Plano a 200-Acre Nature Preserve
On the west edge of Plano, Arbor Hills Nature Preserve holds 200 acres of rolling Blackland landscape. It is a daily outdoor stop for west Plano and the cities near the Denton County line.
Paved and natural trails climb low hills to an overlook tower, then drop into woods and creek bottoms. The park is made for walking, jogging, hiking, and orienteering.
That variety makes it feel a step away from the subdivisions and tollways around it. The overlook is the usual reward. Morning is kinder in summer, before heat settles into the creek bottoms.
