Two Different Offices Handle Your Property Tax in Gillespie County

The Gillespie Central Appraisal District sets the value of your property. That value determines how much tax you owe. The appraisal district is at 1159 S. Milam St. in Fredericksburg. If you think your property is over-valued, you protest there.

The Gillespie County Tax Office handles vehicle registration and some other county services, but it does not collect property taxes.
