An El Paso Alcohol License Has State Renewal and Local Fees

An El Paso County alcohol business may owe two separate payments. TABC handles the state license and renewal, usually through its AIMS portal. The Ascarate Tax Office handles county alcohol-license fees. Paying the county does not renew the state license.

Take the county license statement and payment to the tax office for the local charge. Before renewing with TABC, make sure local fees and taxes are paid; unpaid local charges can hold up renewal.

For a new location, check zoning, setbacks, and wet-dry status before signing a lease. A county payment receipt is not permission to sell alcohol at a different address.
