Lampasas, Texas

Lampasas is the seat of Lampasas County, on the northern edge of the Texas Hill Country about 27 miles west of Killeen, where the rolling grassland meets limestone hills. The town grew up around its mineral springs, and after the railroad arrived in the late nineteenth century it drew visitors to its spas and bathing resorts.

Property here runs through the Lampasas Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level. The Lampasas County notes below cover the practical details, with the official county directory for the appraisal district and tax office.
