Dell City, Texas

Dell City is a small farming town in the Salt Basin of northeastern Hudspeth County, in the desert country of far West Texas about 77 miles northeast of El Paso. It sits at the western foot of the Guadalupe Mountains, whose highest peaks rise just to the east. The town exists because of groundwater drawn from the Bone Spring-Victorio Peak aquifer, which turned former ranchland into irrigated fields of alfalfa, cotton, and other crops.

Property here runs through the Hudspeth Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level. The Hudspeth County notes below cover the practical details, with the official county directory for the appraisal district and tax office.
