DeCordova, Texas

DeCordova is a residential city in Hood County, on the shore of Lake Granbury in North Texas about 31 miles southwest of Fort Worth. It takes its name from the De Cordova Bend of the Brazos River, where the lake was formed by a dam, and it developed as a lakeside community beginning in the late 1960s. The city is organized largely around its lakefront neighborhoods, golf course, and marina.

Property here runs through the Hood Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level. The Hood County notes below cover the practical details, with the official county directory for the appraisal district and tax office.
