Register Your Vehicle at the Webb County Tax Office

The Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector handles vehicle registration. The office is at 1110 Victoria St., Suite 107 in Laredo. You can also renew online through TxDMV. To renew online, your vehicle must have no outstanding issues.

Webb County does not require a separate emissions test. As of 2025, non-commercial vehicles in Texas no longer need a safety inspection before registration. That rule can change, so check the TxDMV and DPS websites before you go. It is a good idea to confirm the current rules each time you register.
