Register your vehicle at the county tax office

The Uvalde County Tax Assessor-Collector handles vehicle titles and registration renewals. The office is at 100 N. Getty St., Suite 8, in Uvalde. The phone number is (830) 278-3225.

For non-commercial vehicles, TxDMV says a safety inspection is no longer required before registration as of January 1, 2025. Uvalde is not one of the 17 emissions counties listed by TxDMV. Commercial vehicles still need a passing commercial inspection.
