Register Your Vehicle at the County Tax Office

Texas uses a combined inspection and registration system called Two Steps, One Sticker. First, your vehicle passes a safety inspection at a licensed station. Then you register it at the county tax office or online. You get one sticker showing your registration expiration date.

In San Augustine County, the Tax Assessor-Collector's office handles vehicle registration and title transfers. The office is at 100 W. Columbia St., Room 102, San Augustine. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Phone: 936-275-2300. You can also renew registration online through TxDMV.
