Navarro County Registration Does Not Need Emissions Testing

Texas still uses one windshield sticker. Since January 1, 2025, many personal cars and light trucks do not need a yearly safety check before registration. Navarro County is not on TxDMV's emissions list. That means many local drivers skip that stop too.

Use the county tax office for titles, renewals, address changes, and disabled parking placards. Bring proof of insurance. Work trucks and other commercial vehicles still have inspection rules. Check TxDMV if the vehicle is used for a job.
