Trail de Paris Turns a Cross-Town Corridor Into a Walk

Trail de Paris gives the city a long green line instead of a plain sidewalk loop. Main entrances sit on Collegiate Drive and at Love Civic Center, and the trail runs between the city limits and downtown.

The path works for walkers and bikes, with ADA access and several ways to get on it. That helps it serve a lot of simple local uses. A family can take an easy evening walk, a runner can stretch a route across town, and a cyclist can stay off busier streets for a while.

The local stretch also belongs to the Northeast Texas Trail, which connects towns from Farmersville to New Boston across Northeast Texas. That gives a short Paris walk a much larger map. The same path that gets people across town also plugs into a corridor running far beyond the city limits.

It is an easy way to read Paris as a string of parks, streets, and rights of way instead of one big block. The trail makes the city feel connected at a human speed.
