Salado Creek Greenway Lets Trails Follow Oaks and Limestone
Salado Creek Greenway is part of San Antonio's Howard W. Peak Greenway Trail System. The city says the Salado Creek trails are paved with asphalt and concrete, with views of pecan trees, live oaks, cliff faces, and natural limestone along the creek.
The north section links trailheads such as Eisenhower Park, McAllister Park, Lady Bird Johnson Park, Robert Tobin Park, Walker Ranch Park, and Phil Hardberger Park East. The south section runs from Jack White Park to Southside Lions Park.
That makes Salado Creek a cross-city outdoors note. It is not one isolated park; it is a creek corridor that knits together neighborhoods, trees, rock, and several major public parks into one connected trail.
