Property Tax Has Two Separate Offices in Lamb County

Out on E. Delano Avenue in Littlefield sits the Lamb County Appraisal District, and it does two jobs people often expect from two different places. It sets the value of your property, and it also collects most of the local property taxes. So when a bill shows up, this is the office behind it.

There's a second office too, the county Tax Assessor-Collector, over in the courthouse. The name fools people, because in Lamb County that office doesn't actually collect property taxes. If a number on your bill looks wrong or you want to set up a payment, start with the appraisal district on Delano. They're the ones holding the rolls.
