KCAD sets the value; the tax office handles listed collections

A value notice and a tax bill come from different jobs. Kaufman Central Appraisal District sets the value, applies exemptions and special appraisals, and receives protests. It does not collect the tax.

The county tax assessor-collector bills and collects for the taxing units listed under Consolidated Taxing Units Served in the Comptroller directory. A unit not on that list may send or collect its own bill.

Call KCAD about value, an exemption, or a protest. Use the state directory to find the right collector for a bill or payment question. Paying a bill does not settle a pending value protest.
