You can protest your property value in Hill County

If you think Hill CAD set your property value too high, you can file a protest. The Appraisal Review Board (ARB) is a separate, independent panel. It listens to both sides and decides. The ARB is not part of Hill CAD. Hearings are typically held in the spring and summer months.

To protest, file with Hill CAD by the deadline on your notice of appraised value. That notice comes in the mail each spring. If you miss the deadline, you lose your chance for that year.
