Property Tax Payments
Pay Property Taxes Through the El Paso County Tax Office
EPCAD sets your property's value, but the check goes somewhere else. The El Paso County Tax Office is where property tax payments actually get collected — at six offices spread across the county, with the main collection season running from mid-October through January.
One El Paso tax bill can carry several taxing units on a single account, not only the county. Under an interlocal agreement dating back to 1986, the county collects for dozens of local entities (the City of El Paso, the school districts, water districts, and emergency services among them), so a single payment can cover several units at once.
Office locations, accepted payment methods, and your account details all live on the county Tax Office page. As the January deadline closes in, last year's hours won't necessarily hold, so pull up the current page rather than driving on memory.
