Tax Prepayment

Williamson County Offers Monthly Property Tax Prepayments

If a single property tax bill in January is hard to absorb, Williamson County lets you spread it out ahead of time. You enroll in a scheduled prepayment plan and the county pulls a set monthly deposit from a card or bank account into your tax account.

There are a few strings: no outstanding balance on current or prior taxes, an online profile, a valid email address, and re-enrollment every year. The deposits run through September, and whatever's left after that is still due by January 31.

This mostly helps owners who don't have a mortgage escrow doing it for them but still want to break the bill into pieces. One thing to keep in mind — the final tax amount isn't known until the bill is actually prepared, so the monthly figure is an estimate, and the plan terms are worth confirming with the Tax Office before you lean on it.
