Who Handles Property Taxes in Coryell County

The Coryell County Appraisal District (CAD) sets the value of your property each year. It serves 19 taxing units, including the county, several school districts, and three cities. The CAD office is at 705 E. Main Street in Gatesville.

A separate office, the Tax Assessor-Collector, sends bills and takes payments. That office is at 800 E. Main Street, Suite B, also in Gatesville. If you think your property value is wrong, you deal with the CAD. If you owe a bill or need a receipt, you deal with the tax office.
