A McLennan Tax Search Can Start With a Name, Address, or Number
McLennan's property-tax search offers five ways into a record. You can use the owner's name, property address, Tax Office account number, six-digit appraisal PID, or owner ID. This helps when your paper came from the appraisal district, not the Tax Office. You may have a valid PID but no tax account number at hand.
The numbers are easy to confuse. The portal calls the appraisal district number the Property ID, or PID. It also lists an owner ID. The site warns that this owner number differs from the Tax Office property-account number. Leave out dashes when you search by account number. You can add a second field to narrow a broad name or address search.
The county Tax Office links straight to this portal. It covers accounts collected by that office. Once you find the parcel, copy the Tax Office account number before leaving. The county's payment steps require it for a card or e-check, even if you began with another ID. If the record looks wrong, send portal questions to Tax Office staff, not the county webmaster.
