Pleasanton's River Park Fits Wheels, Water, Dogs, and a Trail

Pleasanton River Park, also called Veterans Memorial Park, sits at 1220 River Park Road. Open lawns and shaded picnic areas share the grounds with places to move, play, and cool off.

The Bob & Verna Byrd Skate Park, splash pad, zip line, playgrounds, and off-leash Bark Park cover several kinds of play. The Pecan Orchard Trail offers a walk through the park, while pavilions give groups a shaded meeting place.

The mix is what gives the park its character. A family can split between the trail, splash pad, skate park, and dog park, then meet under a pavilion. Pleasanton's public green space works as several small outings at one address.
