Getting married in Nueces County starts at the clerk's window on Leopard Street

The marriage license counter is in the Nueces County Courthouse at 901 Leopard Street, Room 201, in downtown Corpus Christi. Both adults usually visit the clerk. Bring accepted proof of age and identity. If one cannot attend, call first. Ask about the absent-applicant form and proof needed.

A Texas marriage license works statewide, so a couple can apply in Nueces County and marry anywhere in Texas. The 72-hour wait between getting the license and the ceremony still applies unless an exemption fits.
