Lake Meredith Has Free Campsites and 10 Reservable Hookups

With one exception, camping at Lake Meredith is free and first-come, first-served. Sanford-Yake has 10 RV sites with electric and water hookups. The National Park Service charges a fee for those sites and takes reservations by phone; Sanford-Yake's remaining sites are free.

The usual limit is 14 consecutive days in any 30-day period and no more than 60 days in a year. Hunters have a separate October 1 through December 31 camping window, with up to 30 days allowed annually per hunter. A campsite cannot sit unattended for more than 24 hours.

Fires belong in elevated grills or existing fire rings, and backcountry fires are not allowed. Dead wood on the ground may be gathered, but trees and plants may not be cut. Pets must stay leashed. Fritch Fortress and Sanford-Yake have dump stations with non-potable water.
