Refugio County sits in TPWD's South Zone for deer and dove hunting

At a Refugio deer camp, start with the South Zone table. For 2025-2026, TPWD lists a five-deer bag. No more than three may be bucks. Fall turkey is four birds. Gobblers and bearded hens count. Dove is a 15-bird daily bag in the South Zone. That total covers white-winged, mourning, and white-tipped doves. White-tipped birds are capped at two.

Do the license chores before the truck leaves. Dove hunters need the migratory game bird endorsement and HIP certification. A turkey also has a report step. Log it through the Texas Hunt & Fish app or TPWD online form after the hunt.
