Hunting in Presidio County: Key Rules

For 2025-26, TPWD lists Presidio County in the Trans-Pecos mule deer season. The general mule deer season is late November into mid-December, and the bag limit is one buck across all seasons combined.

White-tailed deer are listed under the North Zone, with a four-deer limit and no more than two bucks. Javelina are in the Southern zone, with a two-per-license-year limit.

Pronghorn works differently. TPWD marks it as permit-only, with permits issued to landowners or their agents in areas with huntable herds. Use the current Presidio County Outdoor Annual page before you plan a hunt.
