There Is No Public Hunting Land in Ector County

Unlike some Texas counties, Ector County has no state-managed public hunting areas. There are no TPWD wildlife management areas or state parks with hunting access here. All hunting takes place on private ranch and farm land.

Texas law requires that hunters get landowner permission before entering private land. Hunting without permission is criminal trespass. If you are new to the area and looking for access, the TPWD Outdoor Annual lists Managed Land Deer Program (MLDP) properties, though these are also privately owned.
