The East Fork ties Lake Ray Hubbard to western Kaufman County

Lake Ray Hubbard sits on the East Fork of the Trinity and reaches into Kaufman County. Below the dam, the river enters the county near Forney before winding south through the western side.

A USGS gauge sits about 800 feet below the dam and 3.8 miles northwest of Forney. That close pairing of reservoir, gauge, river, and fast-growing neighborhoods makes the East Fork easy to miss on a road map but hard to ignore in the landscape.

The river name alone does not prove flood risk for a parcel. Use FEMA and county records for a property question; use the USGS gauge for measured conditions at that one station.
