Caddo Lake State Park: Fishing, Paddling, and Cabins

Harrison County The Great Outdoors

The park sits on Big Cypress Bayou at 245 Park Road 2, Karnack. You can fish from the pier, launch a boat, rent a canoe, hike 2.5 miles of trails, or stay in one of the historic cabins. Daily entrance is $4 for adults; kids 12 and under get in free. Alligators live in the lake — the park posts safety notices for visitors.

You do not need a fishing license to fish from shore inside a state park. If you fish from a boat, a Texas fishing license is required. The park can fill up on weekends, especially March through November. Book cabins and campsites at texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com or call 512-389-8900.
