Buena Vista Sports Complex Is South Laredo's New Big Field Park

The City of Laredo opened the Buena Vista Sports Complex in early 2026, a 200-acre facility in south Laredo near Cuatro Vientos. Its first phase put ten all-turf baseball and softball fields on the ground, plus multi-purpose fields for sports like soccer and football, lighting for night play, concessions, and parking.

This is a city-run civic anchor, not a private club or a vague development promise, and it's built to pull in regional and statewide tournaments. That can reshape youth and travel sports for the whole area, and it means real weekend traffic when big events are in town. The city has said more phases are planned.
