Two offices handle property taxes here

In Taylor County, two offices deal with your property taxes. The Taylor County Appraisal District sets your property value. The county Tax Assessor-Collector office exists but does not collect property taxes here. That means you pay your bill through the appraisal district, not the county tax office.
